Product Review: Mission Workshop: The Shed

A few months ago, Mission Workshop hit me up to do a review on "The Shed", the first ever "Rolltop Messenger Bag". After taking this bag back and forth from work, Las vegas for interbike, and SF for the BFF, I figured it was time for the write up. I really took my time with this bag, I would love it, then out of nowhere I would just hate it, (the Gemini in me) and not use it for a few days. It was my travel bag, meaning I would pack clothes in another bag, and bring this as my roll around the city bag. Fill it with my shopping, tools, camera and other shit I would need during the trip. As for commuting, I liked it. It has a real professional look to it. Coming into a professional work environment, it made me feel legit, and very proud to be riding my bike to work. Almost like a briefcase, but more badass. As a working bag, i.e. Bike Messenger, I wouldn't use it (I'll explain below), for a commuter or Student, where you are in and out of your bag very little, and need to carry a bunch of stuff at one time. I came home to a nice surprise yesterday evening. The guys over at Mission Workshop sent me "The Shed" to write a review on. (thanks Homies) While that review will be be up in few weeks, I thought I would give my first impressions of the bag.

The Rummy!!!

Mission Workshop.. What can I say... They make one bag then they make the smaller version, so good. I really like these bags. So clean looking, and well designed. Mission Workshop: The Fitzroy Rucksack

Our friends at MW just dropped a larger version of their Sanction Rucksack, The Fitzroy. A larger bag for those days, when you need a little more space in your bag. These are really good looking bags in person and I'm always impressed by the quaility of MW. My Vandal and my shed are my go to bags, and still look good. Love them. Mission Workshop Storefront!

Today I stopped by the @missionworkshop storefront. This place is really cool! Rai, who runs the storefront, let me know that they have only been open about a month and they are still getting it dialed in. It looks pretty good to me guys. Maybe just add a fridge, for beer of course, and this will be my new spot to kick it on Friday<--- HINT!

Mission Workshops: The Shed: Update

So, I'm still rocking the bag. Putting it through it's paces. I thought I would update on the progress. (review coming soon) I really like this bag, probably one of the best messenger bags built, I do have some issues with it, but it's simple design flaws and things that could be added to make it a better bag. I will in another week or two write a full review. (BFF Starts today, hectic week) As you can see, I hauled 20 lbs of cat litter, laptop, clothes, shoes, and went to go pick my Moth Attack kit, while covering 12 miles in distance. The bag was great. More then great. Very well built. I will be carrying 30 lbs of cats food tomorrow in it, and expect no problems, at all. Bewm

Mission Workshops: Switch out your Straps.

Another spot, I hung out at a bunch was the Mission Workshops booth. Great group of cats, who really love their product. I, for one, am in love with my Shed. I was gonna drop the review this week, but the guys asked me to wait a bit. I think it's due to the fact, I'll be getting one of these new Anodized Hardware Straps to switch out the existing Straps that come with the bag. I'll see if it really is that easy to switch out... I'm super stoked for these guys, I think it's gonna be a big year for Mission.
