Recap: SFGREENSERIES presents Krit Kat

19 riders. 3.5 laps.

SF Green Series hosted the city's second criterium-format race this past Sunday. Racers took to the streets, covering over 10 miles, threading traffic and mashing hills. Sunny skies, a lack of injuries and some intimidatingly strong riding dominated the race. Oakland and WOB once again showed their speed & cunning as Jeremiah Davis took 1st. Some miscounting & miscommunication led to two DQs, but there was no doubt in the racers conviction as they fought for the cash pot. Second & third went to Marc Marino & Kyle Ng respectively, with TCB/Mash's Steve Tortorelli racing while on the job, putting down two laps before he had a tag.

Thanks to all riders that came out!

Rider Profile: Iggy Cortes

One of my Favorites at O20 and from DTLA. Iggy used to come into the coffee shop, I worked at downtown to spit knowledge about LA to me while sippin on coffee in between tags. Now nither one of us works downtown, but he still kicks down LA knowledge to me, everytime I come in O20. Enjoy the return of the Monday profiles, I have missed doing these and Iggy was kind of enough to be the first set them off again.

Kuala Lumpur International Fixed Gear Tournament 2011 (KLIFGT2011) will be held at the Cheras Velodrom Stadium, Kuala Lumpur and by the look of the event list there is something for everybody. Word on the street is that USA with by represented. My guess (just a guess) is that at very least Jason Clary will be going ("Time to get a passport" FB status today) and he'll kill it. I would love to go check out one these huge events Asia sometime, either as a racer or as media. I'm just so curious as to how these events go down in other countries. Here's the promo for the event (click on flyer for the schedule) and good luck to whoever is going over to rep for the good ole USA!

WDC: FGFS Contest: Edit.

Our German friends at Suicycle threw a trick comp over in Hamburg, Germany. There was an American representing! Nelson Bell from Seattle, holding it down from the Future Tense Comps that Zlog throws. Pretty cool. Nice edit, digging the Mobb Deep.

Red Hook Milano: Results: USA! USA! USA!

Picture of the year by Federico of the newly crowned Red Hook Milano winner, NeiL BezdeK. He crushed the field by taking first overall, fastest lap and both race primes. Neil also did it on the new Cinelli Laser prototype. Way to bring the win back to the states. Congrats! It was a close race, Neil pulled it out by a wheel length, with the rest of the top ten just seconds behind. Gnarly.
