I first peeped Jose Parla's work on an Upper Playground DVD. I was thrown back by his approach to art. He would spend months on the same painting going over and over his own work. He would scratch off paper, tiles, anything he could find and add it to his pieces. Check out his solo exhibition at OHWOW coming up on September 9th.
