Here is the definition of profane speech at the FCC:

"Profane Broadcast Restrictions: The FCC has defined profanity as “including language so grossly offensive to members of the public who actually hear it as to amount to a nuisance. Like indecency, profane speech is prohibited on broadcast radio and television between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m."

Looks pretty clear to me. If you want to complain, start here:

  1. that is fucked. its reasons like this that i cannot stand the "average american male" who listens to jim rome radio, reads SI regularly, wears nfl official gear, and eats poorly. my brother is one of those people, and i can see our discussion about these statements going over with poor results. what a shame that ignorance is legally heard by millions of people subscribing to kornhiesers radio broadcast. hope this gets addressed and lance opens some eyes. very glad that lance is able to have the great reputation he has and is a great person to represent all of us as regular cyclists.

  2. Ha ha - "I'm just saying...tap 'em a little bit; see what happens!" What happens is you get your car trashed like the couple in the red Chevy in Mad Max. Sure, give it a try! You tap me on my bike in a dream, you better wake up and apologize.
