FamliStraps: Foot Retention Straps
Last night on the ride, I met one of the guys from FamliStraps. He hooked me
up with a set of their Straps to checkout. The straps are made here in LA and I really dig
that. We have to support our own as well as support handmade products here in the
States. Thanks guys, I'll let you know what I think of these in a few weeks!
I heard Famlistraps are proud sponsors of a few local races, we have coming up...

T.N.T. BEWM!: Week lll
We slayed another 20 mile route in an hour, which had some hard climbs and fun
desents. Good shit for a track bike ride. Had about 30 people come out (some not pictured)
most everyone finished the route. I'm impressed by how fast this ride is growing.
Greg's route next week, hope to see ya'll there.
Details:
T.N.T. BEWM!!! (Tuesday Night Track BEWM!)
The ride that WON’T STOP!
Tuesdays
Meet Place: Orange 20 bicycle shop, 4351 Melrose Ave, Bicycle District
Meet 8pm
Leave at 9pm
Different routes each week. Starting with about 15-25 miles. NON STOP. Were gonna wanna keep a good pace, however it does get split up into a few packs. We’ll all go for food after a great ride!
Routes are given at the start.
Fixed gear only!
But if you show up on a road bike we aren't not gonna tell you you can’t ride…

Sucicycle Bike Co: Suicycle Catalog Spring 2012
Our homeboy Gianni Suicycle, sent this over. Suicycle's Spring 2012 Catalog.
I had the pleasure of seeing their Track and Trick frames in person this past spring,
while they were visiting LA. I really want to get my hands on one. Maybe when I go
over to visit them next year, I'll bring one back!
Check out the Catalog here.

Kevin Kang: Road Rash
I had just asked for photos from yesterdays race, and look what shows up in our mailbox?
Kevin's crash pictures. Kevin was coming in way too hot into a turn on the river path,
went down and almost went into the LA river! There are more photos, but they are pretty
brutal. Really gnarly road rash, we don't want to see that. Here's to speedy recovery Kevin!
I still want one of those kits, they look good, even with holes in them.

Bicycle Kitchen: Help them win $2500
Help the Bicycle Kitchen win $2500 to buy locks, lights and helmets for their Earn-A-Bike Program!
Details:
The IDEA:
The Bicycle Kitchen has an Earn-a-Bike Program where participants between 12 - 18 years earn a free bicycle from our donated frames and bikes. We do not have the resources to give them a helmet, lock or light for free. $2500 would allow us to give 30 kids these necessary items for their new ride!
The PLAN:
Earn-a-Bike is our youth outreach program where participants between 12 - 18 years “earn” a complete bicycle through instruction and participation. It meets in 8 week sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 – 6pm. The program is run by Cooks (volunteers) who teach the kids bicycle mechanics, the value of earning their bike by participating in keeping the shop organized and of working together. Each session has between 5 - 10 participants. At the end of the session Cooks take EAB-ers on a couple of rides with borrowed helmets. Lights and helmets are legally required in LA and a lock is necessary for security. We would use the funds to purchase these items and give them to EAB grads along with their complete bike.
