Outlier: Liberated Wool Peacoat

Outlier is steady dropping great winter time clothes. Liberated Wool Peacoat is one of those. I am digging the grey color and wish I had a holiday trip going on this year, so I could justify buying it (LA all winter baby). Very stylish, and a great looking jacket. I'm jelly of you northern folks this year.

A classic wool peacoat reengineered for a life of freedom. We've always loved vintage navy peacoats, there is nothing better for walking around town on a cold wet winter morning. Problem is, the traditional fabric is so constrictive you can barely reach a subway straphanger in one, let alone get comfortable riding your bike. The Liberated Wool Peacoat keeps the classic peacoat aesthetics but uses an innovative cut and a 2.5 layer wool softshell fabric to create a cool weather jacket fit for motion and comfort.

The Liberated Wool fabric has a beautiful yarn-dyed wool outer face and soft fleece interior. Holding them together is a water and wind resistant polyurethane bond. The result is a warm fabric with the sharp looks of quality wool, the soft flexibility of fleece and the breathable weather resistance that only the Swiss can architect.

Made in NYC using yarn dyed Swiss fabric and custom Corozo buttons. High buttoned collar and merino/nylon inner cuffs for warmth. Perfectly pitched three piece sleeve and modulated back pleat for superior arm movement. Dolomite Blazed Cotton seam binding tape. Cut true to size.

Outlier: Soft Core Wool Vest

Vests, I love a good vest. Looks our friends at Outlier have the perfect vest for fall. The Soft Core Wool Vest, makes me want to be in the woods in the Northwest... Soon.

Wide range warmth without overheating. The Outlier Soft Core Wool Vest. Traditional winter insulation is often too hot for switching between indoor and outdoor activity. With this vest we pair three well considered layers of highly breathable insulation with a trim cut to create a drier, more comfortable way to stay warm.

A soft core of knit superfine New Zealand merino for an always comfortable body climate. An outer face of wool flannel for outdoor performance and sharp looks. Sandwiched in between is a 120 gram Primaloft Infinity continuous filament insulation. Unlike most insulations Infinity does not clump and it does not migrate, allowing us to use dramatically more breathable fabrics and create a more comfortable form of warmth. Fall is upon us. Shorter days, long nights, awesome fall/ winter riding while wrapped cozy gear. I love this time of year, even in LA, where the changes are sutble. Ain't nothing like riding all bundled up and ready for action. Haha! Outlier is dropping their Fall line. Check it out here.

Cottons twist around nylons, wools bond to fleeces, artificial down is layered between wool knits and wovens, nanotech dosed nylons are modeled after lotus leaves, cottons are engineered so tightly they become water barriers.

Outlier: Pivotal Bomber Jacket

Outlier drops a new fall jacket on us today. The Pivotal Bomber Jacket. One of these days, I'll be dipped in outlier gear. I think I'll have to move to really enjoy it.

Outlier: The Anorak

After being in Sweden and falling in love with riding fashion over there, this is

exactly what I wanted to see for fall. Outlier never ceases to impress.

We never rush development at Outlier, some garments fall together quickly while others take forever. This garment has been in the making for nearly as long as we've been around so we're pretty excited to finally have it in our hands. The Anorak started as a simple pullover windbreaker, and took an evolutionary leap when we started experimenting with a magnetic adjustable front piece.



The Anorak uses a pullover construction with two way zippered side vents for superior ventilation. The adjustable magnetic front piece lets you protect your neck in style. An articulated sleeve construction (a modified version of our pivot sleeve) allows for a full range of movement. A double sided kangaroo front pocket, rear zippered carry pocket and Lampo partial-front zip complete the picture.



The 3XDry Cotton Linen fabric has a sturdy hand feel that combines the soft touch of cotton with the crisp handle of linen. The 3XDry treatment moves moisture away from the body on the inside and repels water on the outside while always drying swiftly for optimal comfort.



This is an Outlier Experimental Edition. A limited edition release of a product we hope to produce in full in the future.
